2020 Year in Review

17 December 2020

As 2020 comes to a close, we look back on what has been an extraordinary 12 months. As a technology company, providing advanced power electronics hardware powered by a suite of software, we began the year with optimism and in full swing commencing our search for investors that believe in the widespread adoption of distributed energy resources that will propel us to a net-zero world. Then, we all know what happened.

Despite seemingly insurmountable hurdles, we came together as a global unit and adapted successfully, commencing construction of our landmark IKEA eleXsys Microgrid project, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, establishing a global presence, continuing research and development and securing initial investments to underpin our growth trajectory.

We believe that in the circumstances, these have been enormous achievements and the eleXsys Energy team thanks you for being a part of our continuing success.

Investment and Growth

As part of our global expansion, eleXsys Energy has engaged an international investment banking and financial services company to assist in the raising of capital.

eleXys Energy secured a grant from the Australian Government’s Manufacturing Modernisation Fund (MMF) to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities in Brisbane and enhance our highly skilled team as we expand globally.

Landmark Project

Construction commenced on Australia’s largest of its kind, grid-connected microgrid for IKEA in Adelaide enabling the retailer to transition to utilizing 100% renewable energy by 2025. This project has been only made possible by eleXsys Energy’s unique energy management system, the unique partnership with IKEA, and Epic Energy, and with the support of SA Power Networks and the South Australian Government.

Global Expansion

eleXsys Energy now has in-market representation in the USA, Europe and APAC, establishing key partnerships to enable rapid global expansion.
Alongside presenting at many virtual investment conferences, in October, eleXsys Energy attended CleanEquity Monaco 2020. This is an invite-only private conference supported by HRH Prince Albert II, for leading technology companies that provide exceptional sustainable and resource efficiency solutions to showcase their technologies before a select group of international investors.

eleXsys Energy and its research partners Griffith University, Central Queensland University, and Macquarie University have been recognised by the Australian Research Council (ARC) and were awarded a grant to conduct research into developing secure and reliable microgrids enabled by our unique energy management software.
