eleXsys nominated for the most prestigious global environment award

eleXsys Energy is delighted to announce that we have been nominated for one of the world’s most prestigious environment prizes, the Earthshot Prize.

Now in its second year, the Earthshot Prize was launched by the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and The Royal Foundation, and represents a global search for the most extraordinary eco-solutions for the planet.

eleXsys has been nominated in the Fix Our Climate category by Japan-based official Nominator Purpose Driven Innovation Ecosystem (PDIE Group). The 2021 winner in the Fix Our Climate category was a green hydrogen innovator that was also nominated by PDIE Group.

Winners in the prize’s five categories in 2022 will be announced at ceremony in New York later this year and each will receive £1 million and tailored support from around the world to scale their operations.

eleXsys Energy CEO and Co-Founder Dr Bevan Holcombe said the Earthshot Prize nomination ranked among the company’s biggest achievements to date.

“The first year of the prize included many outstanding organisations from around the world offering the type of vital contributions we need to change the course of our planet’s future,” he said.

“To be featured in such prestigious company is a great honour for us and a testament to all the hard work and dedication of the eleXsys Energy team.

“Together, we have transformed an idea to address emerging voltage issues facing clean energy producers into an ever-growing number of applications that will enable renewable energy systems and reduce reliance of traditional electricity grids.”

Launched in October 2020, the Earthshot Prize is considered the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next 10 years.

As one of the official Nominators, PDIE Group is building a global ecosystem for change makers, entrepreneurs, corporates, investors and governments who are co-creating a better tomorrow through sustainable innovation.
